Semaglutide (known commercially as Ozempic® and Wegovy®) was originally created to help manage type 2 diabetes by improving insulin sensitivity and stabilizing blood sugar levels. During treatment, providers noticed that patients were consistently losing weight — which eventually led to FDA approval for semaglutide as a dedicated weight-loss medication under the name Wegovy®.
Through trusted compounding pharmacies, semaglutide is now available at a much more affordable cost, making it accessible to more people looking for medical weight-loss support.
We also offer tirzepatide (Mounjaro® / Zepbound®), another highly effective GLP-1 medication that works in a similar way and has produced impressive weight-loss outcomes.
With either option, your care is:
Semaglutide and tirzepatide belong to a class of medications called GLP-1 receptor agonists. These medications mimic natural hormones in your body—helping regulate blood sugar, slow down digestion, and signal fullness to your brain. Because of this, many people feel satisfied sooner, have fewer cravings, and naturally eat smaller portions.
Clinical research has shown meaningful, steady weight loss with both medications. When paired with basic lifestyle adjustments—such as improved protein intake, hydration, and light daily movement—the results can be even more significant.
For example, studies show individuals taking semaglutide can lose an average of 9–13% of their total body weight in a year — even without major changes to diet or exercise habits. When combined with simple, consistent lifestyle improvements, the potential benefits are even greater.
When used under the supervision of a qualified clinician, semaglutide and tirzepatide have been shown to be safe and effective for long-term weight management. Like any medication, they may cause side effects, most commonly mild stomach-related symptoms such as nausea, bloating, diarrhea, or constipation.
To reduce these effects, we start with a low dose and gradually increase it only as your body tolerates it.
These medications may not be suitable for everyone. They are not recommended for individuals with:
During your initial consultation, we’ll review your medical history thoroughly to determine whether GLP-1 therapy is the right and safest choice for you.
